Round 4 of Betfred League One was underway at the weekend with some big score-lines in all three of its matches.
It was sheer dominance from Oldham who inflicted a heavy defeat on Hunslet and kept their opponents scoreless away from home.
The visitors racked up an impressive 62 unanswered points on the road in what can only be described as an extremely clinical performance, and at a venue where they hadn't won in five years.
An 11-try spectacle, including Cian Tyrer's six tries which saw him become the first Oldham player since 1960 to score a double hat-trick in a single game, takes Sean Long's men to the top of the League One table after four regular rounds, as they continue their unbeaten start.
North Wales Crusaders also enjoyed a big win over Newcastle Thunder, making it three from three. A brutal first forty from the hosts at Colwyn Bay would see a one-sided score of 42-0 at half-time, as the Crusaders started to score tries for fun.
There were more tries that followed after the break, but an even contest unfolded - both teams scoring three tries a piece, as Thunder improved - although it was too little too late.
And it was a try fest in Cumbria, as Workington were victors against Rochdale Hornets in a thrilling encounter.
Town had a comfortable 22-4 advantage at the break in sunny but windy conditions - Jordan Burns, Jake Bradley, Jonny Hutton and Brad Taylor all adding themselves to the scoresheet for Workington, before Tommy Brierley breathed life into the Hornets with a try right before the break.
Rochdale would then capitalise again five minutes into the second half - this time through Joe Hartley who touched down in the corner.
But two more tries from a resilient Workington and a brilliant defensive effort from the hosts would put the game too far out of reach, despite two late Rochdale tries in the dying minutes of the game.
